The Prayer

Last night I knelt down to pray,
Because I was lost and I needed you to show me the way.
As I laid down in my bed,
Many different memories came into my head.
At that moment I started to cry,
Asking myself why did they die?
Right now my future is unclear,
But I can feel your Holy presence as I shed one last tear.
You are a very special friend to me in many ways,
So I just wanted to thank you for helping me get through another day.
I also wanted to thank you for being my friend,
Because I know that we will always be friends till the end.

Emotions

I go through many emotions everyday,
I never know what I should think and say.
On the days I am scared,
I find myself VERY unprepared.
I was so happy when I saw my friends today,
Because talking to them made my tears go away.
There are many times I feel alone,
This emotion I feel, to my friends it's unknown.
I try to keep my emotions inside,
Even though I know my friends are at my side.
Mad,Sad,Happy,Scared,and Unsure these are the emotions I often feel,
These are the emotions that only a friends love could heal.

Friends

What do you consider a friend?
Someone to stand by you till the end?
Friends will be there in good times and bad,
Friends can tell if your happy or sad.
Friends will let you cry on their shoulder,
In the times as you grow older.
You can tell if you have a good friend,
If you stay friends till the end.

Your tears of joy fall down as rain.
Your Heavenly wings cause a cool breeze on Earth.
Your smile comes down as rays of sunlight.
Your eyes twinkle like the stars in the sky.
Your precious hands paint a rainbow in the sky.
Your feet cause thunder as you run in Paradise.
You left the Earth to live in Paradise.
Still you show your abundant love for us.
Here on Earth we can see your love is all around us.
We will all miss you dearly.

The Mask

Life is like a masquerade,
People all around me are wearing masks.
When sad the mask shows them happy.
When will they show us what they REALLY feel ?
When will they stop playing make-believe?
And realize their emotions are REAL?
Their masks won't last forever.
When will that be?
Only time would tell.

Things are starting to get out of hand,
People are wearing masks in front of their friends.
When will they let go of their masks?
I too start to wear one.
When God calls your name,
Leave the masks behind.
God doesn't want make-believe,
He searches for the truth.
No matter what masks you wear,
God can see thru them.
The masks we wear are chains with sin,
It is time to break our chains.
Take off the masks,
God will break your chain and set you free.

MY FRIEND

I asked for help
You were there
I started to cry
When you told me you cared
I needed a friend to talk to
You came over right away
I needed a friend for comfort
You wiped my tears away
On the days I was down
You were standing by my side
We laughed, cried, and grew up together
We hold many memories of our friendship
We said we will be friends forever
Now we have to say good-bye
It is time for you to graduate now
Time to move on in our lives
We knew the time would come
When we would go our separate ways
It's time to make your dreams come true
Time to be on your way
I wish you luck in the future
I hope your dreams come true
I consider myself lucky
For having a special friend like you
We will still be friends forever
Where ever our lives may lead to
I just want you to know
I'll miss you & I'll be praying for you
