Linda wrote.. Hi I am Linda LaMar and I am a Poet. I write inspirational Poetry about Our Lord and Savior Jesus and I write about love sometimes sadness a little of every mood I guess.
Any way I would love to share my work with others.My Mother also writes and She would like to share also.
I have had 5 books published by a very good friend who owns his own printing company.

God's Candles

It seemed the world was darker
No caring anywhere
No hope for life or future
Leading to despair.
But one day when I was praying
My eyes opened up somehow
And I saw candles glowing
In the here and now.
There were bright lights all around me
I never noticed much before
For in this darkened world
I'd become unsure.
Then I saw one in a friend
For when she smiled at me
I saw a beacon shining
In a dark and stormy sea.
Yes the candles of the light of God
Were showing everywhere
In many many people
I could see the love and care.
He was kindling up a fire
Of his spirit more and more
And I could see so many bright lights
I'd overlooked before.
I saw a steady candle in the mate that I adore
Then I looked around and noticed lights
I'd overlooked before.

That's The Way Some People Go

See which way the wind blows brother
See which way the storm clouds roll
See the wind blown storm tossed masses
That's the way some people go.
See the rock there in the middle
Standing solid, never moved
Jesus is that rock my brother
That's the rock some people choose.
Like an Island, in the ocean
Safe secure, a refuge found
That's the place we want to shelter
Then we shall be heaven bound.
Don't go the way the wind blows brother
Take your house from off the sand
Build it on the rock of ages
Then you'll join in angel's bands.
See the drowning people passing
Who can't reach that sheltered place
See the few who struggle shoreward
Saved there by his loving grace.
See which way the wind blows brother
See which way the storm clouds roll
Hear the mourning and the weeping
That's the way some people go.
See the way the sun shines brother
Hear hosanna from the sky
Feel the joy within you welling
How his love in you abide.
See his blessings all around you
Feel peace and love in your abode
All doubts and fears are gone forever
That's the way I want to go.

My Life Has Been Restored

The lord is guiding with his hand
So I can stand
Sending me his love from up above
Making my faith strong
While I find where I belong.
Always whispering in my ear
To have no fear
As tribulations come, his will be done
Showing me the way
To make it through each day.
Sometimes when I am weak,
I hear him speak
He says, "My child be still, it is my will."
He loves me that I know
Or he would have let me go.
His patience will endure
That much I know for sure
As tribulations come his will be done
And through Jesus Christ the Lord
My faith has been restored.

Up and Away

In the twinkling of an eye
Up to the heavens in the sky
He'll call my name and up I'll go
Unto a better place I know.

His chosen few picked by his hand
Will be left on this earth to stand
Their life they'll give and they will die
Then join the saints up in the sky.
These days are dark but don't despair
The Lord is with us everywhere
Be kind be good and share your love
That's how to please the Lord above.
Don't hesitate to pray for grace
To live up in that special place
Forgive my sins Lord one more day
Before you call me up and away.

He's There I Know

One day I knelt and prayed for love
God sent his angels from above
The love was real the love was right
Gods' glory was so out of sight.

He said "My child I love you so
I am with you every where you go
You wandered off the path I chose
The door to the past for you I'll close.

Just take my hand I'll heal your heart
And lead you to a brand new start
I sent my Son to set you free
You'll be all right just wait and see".
He healed my heart my life he blessed
And soon he promised me a rest
Each day I live I'll go and share
His love and mercy everywhere.
Each time I fall he's there I know
To teach us how to reap and sow
He's there I know and he's so kind
I now can live with peace of mind.

Do You See God

Do you see God in the mountains
In the trees and in the skies
Do you see God in the meadows
With the bees and butterflies?
He's in the stars and in the sunlight
He's on the ground he's in the air
Just look around and see God everywhere.

He guides the birds in the storms
He leads the fish out in the sea
He's in the great breath of life
That he gave to you and me.
He's in the eyes of our children
He's in the voice of the elderly
He's in the heart of everyone
If you'll open your eyes and see.

He made the world and all things in it
He is merciful and true
He will pick you up and love you
When you're tired or feeling blue.
He wants us to be happy
And to love each other so
That when we look at one another
The love begins to flow.
I see God in the mornings
And in the middle of the day
I see him in the streets
Where the homeless people stay.
I see him in the shadows
Yes I see God everywhere
I see him all o'er the world
And in all of us that care.
