A Prayer Away
He's only just a prayer away
Just call upon Him now
He's tender and loving and sure to b
less
You can lay your burdens down.
He's a wonderful Saviour
So patient and kind
So precious and true is He
He will give you grace
And He'll give you power
You can witness this very hour.
Do you believe in the power of prayer?
Just listen! He is always there
He's only just a prayer away
Just whisper Jesus' Name.
He taught His disciples how to pray
Hallowed be Thy Name
Forgive us Lord, as we forgive
Lord teach me how to pray.

HEAVEN
BY GWYNETH HARDING

I shall see you in the morning
When the shadows flee away
Yes, we shall see Jesus
In that eternal day.

You've promised us a mansion
In our home beyond the sky
No more pain, no more tears
No more saying, "Goodbye".

The sun will always shine there
No clouds will darken the sky
O! how I love you Jesus
I'll see you by and by.

Many things we have asked you
We didn't know the reason why
We don't know how you loved us
And went to Calvary to die.

Yes, we are looking for that great day
When the trumpets of heaven will sound
And we'll be heavenward bound
And great hallelujah's will resound.

He'll come in all his splendour
Risen with healing in his wings
Every eye shall see Him
Every knee to Him shall bow.

Will we be ready when He comes
For He'll reign for ever and ever
Bring forth the royal diadem
And crown Him King of Kings.

How To Be Rich
Have you ever dreamed of being a millionaire
Lots and lots of money enough to spare?
Would you really be happy to share
All the glitter and gold this world holds?
Suppose you lost a loved one
So very dear to your heart
Could all the gold and silver
Your grief and tears impart?
Or could you ride in comfort
While all the rest walk by?
But could it buy your very life
When time comes for you to die?
To be a true millionaire is knowing Jesus
And all the comfort He can bring
The cattle on a thousand hills are His
I just want His praises to sing
On the Cross, they hung Him high
My full salvation there to buy
O! What a price, He gave His life
For me, for you on Calvary.
So, be a millionaire in the bank of heaven
The way of the Cross it is
His blood is my security
It reaches the poor and the rich.
You'll never be bankrupt of blessings
He giveth and giveth again
You don't need a receipt, His love is complete
So trust this bank manager in heaven.

THE GARDEN
BY GWYNETH HARDING

Do you like to walk into the garden?
When the flowers are in full bloom
And smell the lovely fragrance
The colours are beautiful too.
Yellow, white, purple, pink and red
Red reminds me of Calvary
Where Jesu's precious blood was shed
Shed for sinners, shed for me.
Jesus walked into the garden
When He rose up from the grave
It was there He met a woman
Mary is her name.
She thought He was the gardener
And with all the love in her heart
She said, "Tell me where you've laid my Lord
So that I can go and bring Him back".
And as He called her lovely name
So gentle and so tender
Only then she fully realized
It was Jesus, her wonderful Saviour.
Mary knew Him so well
All her sins He'd forgiven
And as her heart beat faster
She called out to Him, "Rabboni, Master!"
When you walk among the lilies
You'll walk with Him in prayer
His lovely presence will be with you
For He's the Rose of Sharon fair.
Just like the lovely flowers
I want to do my part
To reflect all your wonderful beauty
Please Jesus, make a garden in my heart!

YOU FILL MY CUP WITH BLESSINGS
BY GWYNETH HARDING

You fill my cup with blessings
What want I more each day
My Saviour is my treasure
Come in my heart to stay
You fill my cup with blessings
My bright and morning star
The lily of the valley
How beautiful you are.
You fill my cup with blessings
You're always at my side
To love, to bless and keep me
O let me there abide
You fill my cup with blessings
Your precious blood you shed
Upon the Cross of Calvary
"I did it for you", He said.
You fill my cup with blessings
With oil anoints my head
You lead me in green pastures
And feeds the living bread
I know the tomb is empty
You've risen from the dead
You fill my cup with blessings
The everlasting Head.

THE CHOICE IS YOURS
BY GWYNETH HARDING

My ways are not your ways, saith the Lord
So put your trust in me
Don't run behind, or walk before
Just put your hand in mine.
Sometimes you may feel all alone
I'll never let you go, I care
My word says, wait patiently for me
I always hear your prayer.
Be still and know that I am God
I never change
As you walk along the road
I'll be close by to share your load.
No harm shall come to you, my child
I'll keep you from all danger
Because to me, you are not a stranger
I have kept you in the hollow of my hand.
At times the way is very dark
Let me by your light
A light to shine upon the road
That leads me up to God.
Sometimes we have to choose
The way we eat, the way we live
The way of the world is very broad
But I choose Christ.

SAVED BY GRACE
BY GWYNETH HARDING

Jesus is the Rock of Ages
You can hide and shelter there
Do you know Him as your Saviour?
Don't you know for you He'll care?
Jesus, Lord and Mighty Shepherd
Came to seek and save the lost
Put His loving arms around you
Paid the debt at Calvary's Cross.
Jesus is the Great Physician
He can heal your body now
Just reach out your hand and touch Him
As He passes by you now
Jesus is the Great Redeemer
Joy and peace, He'll give to you
Just reach out your hand and touch Him
As He passes by just now.
Just accept Him as your Saviour
He will joy and comfort bring
Open wide your heart now to Him
Let Him be your everything
Jesus, Saviour, Shepherd, Healer
All the praises I will bring
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Jesus is my Lord and King!

TIME IS PRECIOUS
BY GWYNETH HARDING

God has given me another new day
A day with loads of time
Do I just waste it, as I go on my way?
No time for this, no time for that
But there's plenty of time to pray.
God's word has taught us a lesson
There's a time to live
and a time to die
There are people who need Jesus
Do we pass them by?
We've got no time.
As we walk along the road
Many people we meet
We just say a quick hello
when their hearts are breaking in two
Many are shedding tears
But we pass by
We've got no time.
Lord Jesus, you said there's a time to love
Just let it be today
You loved me enough to die for me
Please dear Lord above
Baptize me with your Calvary love.
Jesus said, "Now is the time of salvation
This is the day of grace
I've come to save every nation and every race"
Just come to know Him as your Saviour
He's got time to wait.
Yes, plenty of room at the Cross of Jesus
There's always room for one more
If you don't come, O! What a loss
My! What a treasure to have Jesus living in your heart
So, look at the clock
Then look to Jesus
Now is the time to be saved.

TOO BUSY
BY GWYNETH HARDING

I went into town today
I wanted to spend my pay
Into the shop to choose a new hat
Shoes and gloves as well, to look smart
Then into the tea shop, for coffee and cake
Tired, my way home I made.
The week had been a busy one
So much to do, so much to say
Visiting friends, visiting places
Not a moment to spare for myself
Oh I must hurry on
A visitor is coming to my house today.
A child had fallen down that day
Tears running down her little face
Her knee was cut and bleeding
But I was dressed in my Sunday best
So I passed quickly on my way.
I had swept and polished till everywhere shone
Waiting for my special guest
I was all dressed up and nowhere to go
How slow the time passed as I waited alone.
There was a knock at the door
With great excitement in my heart
I opened it to find
A young woman looking tired and poor
How disappointed was I.
Too busy to help this poor child
I was still waiting for my guest to arrive
I looked up and down the road
No one was in sight.
Could he have forgotten where I live?
You see, he wasn't invited very often
So weary and worn, I went to bed
Too tired to pray, for all I could say
Yours is the kingdom, Lord
The power and the glory
For ever and ever.  Amen.

THERE IS A BALM IN GILEAD
BY GWYNETH HARDING

There is a balm in Gilead
To heal the sin sick soul
Are you satisfied with Jesus?
For He died to make you whole
Sometimes I feel discouraged
But the Saviour comes so near
And He spreads a lovely rainbow
Just to wipe away my tears.
They led Him up to Calvary
"The King of Jews", they said
A crown of thorns they plaited
And they placed it on His head
"My body there was broken
And my blood so freely shed
O! Father, please forgive them"
Was the prayer that He had said.
"They argued for my garments
But little did they know
Of the healing virtue in them
And the power that they hold"
Just like the little woman
Who reached out and touched the hem
It won't cost you gold or silver
Just reach out in faith to Him.
Yes, they laid Him in the tomb
And they thought that was the end
"He is dead! There's no more worry"
But the angels kept their guard
Just reach out and feel the power
Of the mighty risen Lord
"Yes, it cost my life to save you
But I give it free of charge".

HAVE YOU HEARD THE VOICE OF GOD?
BY GWYNETH HARDING

Have you heard the voice of God?
Have you read in His word?
Of a prophecy wondrous and true
How men followed the star
And kings came from afar
To worship the tiny small babe.
Yes they brought gifts of gold
Frankincense and myrrh
And they knelt at the feet of the child
The shepherds all came
And they saw the same
But He was the King of kings.
We can come as we are
No gifts must we bring
Just ourselves on the altar to lay
Lord Jesus come in
To my dark, sinful heart
A joy and peace He will give.

LITTLE SAM
BY GWYNETH HARDING

One Christmas morning a little boy
Had such a wonderful new toy
A lovely big meccano set
With plenty of bits and pieces.
He was looking at a sheet of paper
His mother said, "What is that my son?"
He said, "It's a plan, it all looks so easy
It says how to make a man".
He stood there for ages
Trying his very best
So many screws and so many parts
He was surely put to the test.
After a couple of tedious hours
There was arms, legs, bodies, everywhere
He had just given up, he didn't care
It was too much for a little boy to do.
His mother thought he looked fed up
So she opened up her Bible
To Ezekiel chapter 37, The boy asked
"Is that another plan mother?"
"Oh yes my boy, a very good one
All about the valley of dry bones
There was arms, legs, bodies everywhere"
The boy said, "Oh not again mother".
It was just time for him to go to bed
His mother began to read "At the word of the Lord
The bones all came together"
In his prayer, he said, "Lord, you are cleverer than I".
Love from Sam.

THE PRAYER MEETING
BY GWYNETH HARDING

Yes, I was there
When God answered prayer
He poured down the oil of gladness
And my cup just ran over with joy.
We started to pray
We were only seven
As we waited on God
Down came heaven.
Our prayers were on wings
Like the eagle in flight
We soared right up
To heights of great delight.
As you wait in his presence
Your strength he'll renew
You'll run and not be weary
You'll walk and not faint.
Just rest in God, beloved one
His saints he loves to greet
For every prayer will be heard
When we come to the mercy seat.

THE BROKEN VASE
BY GWYNETH HARDING

It had stood on the shelf for many years
When it got broken I shed many tears
It held flowers of every colour and hue
The card said, "It's a gift, just for you".
The yellow flowers were lovely
The white and the pink
What about the delicate violets?
They made me think.
I thought of the great creator God
He made the world and all that's in it
He created man and beast
In his wonderful plan.
One day my loved one was taken to heaven
Just like the vase
My heart was broken in pieces
No one could take his place.
I cried out to God for help that day
I'll praise him for coming along my way
He moulded the day and he came to stay
And he mended my broken heart.
A new vase stands in the place of the old
It's full of beautiful flowers
God came along and dusted me down
And refreshed me with heavenly showers.
God gave his only beloved Son
For a world of sinners so undone
He came wrapped in a bundle of love
He said, "It's a gift just for you from heaven above".
