Christian Poetry

From MatthewKruKoff@aol.com
I'm writing these poem to you, that there may be a possibility that
one person may be touched by it.
As a person whom meet Jesus upon his spiritual death bed.
I will now give a short testimony of the power of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
I was either beaten or sexually molested for 15 out
of the first 20 years of my life.
I then used drugs from the age of 12 to 30 years old.
Then served off and on time in a mental ward.
Then when the world through me away Jesus Christ showed up!
I just finished writing a book that took me three years
to write these are two poems out of it.
(you have my permission to print these works).
I received a brain injury in a car accident
so if you anyone who can help publish material please send me a letter.

The Compass
When upon the sea of life.
Know that there will be storms.
That winds will howl.
Waves shall come upon the decks.
The eye shall be deceived.
The boat shall be tossed up and down.
So let thee boat be prepared.
For when to reach the sea.
One was on land at one time or another.
So know that God has allowed us to be in this sea.
have thee God close.
When the storm is brewing far off.
Sail to the nearest harbor.
When the storm comes unannounced.
Call upon Jesus.
I tell thee, He is God!
With a word of faith.
The storm will change to a shower.
With trust Jesus will deliver.
The gale will turn into a breeze.
With the knowledge of His word.
We shall see above the waves.
Let us know that it is God!
What we see is not of chance.
It is the works of the Holy Spirit.
This then brings us to the calm sea.
No more swells, wind or cold!
Look I say, It is land ahead.
Yes, God has delivered us again!
Right where we need to be.
Thank You Jesus for directing me.

I DESIRE YOU
As the trees desire the sun.
I desire to be guided in your light.
As the leaves are washed by the rain.
I desire to be bathed in your ever lasting water.
As the roots drink this water.
I desire to drink of your ever lasting water.

As the fall wind blows and the leaves fall.
I desire that my problems fall from my mind.
As the winter comes and there are no leaves upon the branches.
I desire to be no problems in my mind.
As spring comes and the leaves are reborn upon the branches.
I desire that solutions bloom form my heart.

As this tree grows year after year,
the outer bark falls from it.
I too desire that all those things of old fall behind!
As a tree gets larger,
because it grows from the rings that are on the inside.
I to desire, to be changed from the inside out.

Cleanse Me Poem
Lakeshia wrote:
Hello my name is Lakeshia and I am 17 years old this will be my last year in High School
I am a born again Christian and I love to write poetry it is truly a gift from God
He gave me this poem called Cleanse me and I wanted to share it with you.
May God in his love strengthen your walk with him
I pray that every thing in your life and your familys life be truly blessed.

CLEANSE ME
Cleanse me Lord from head to toe,

touch me lord while others watch in amaze and see me grow.

Let your healing hand touch me as the souls that come to you show.

Put in me a growth spurt a time of healing and of kneeling,

God take back from the devil for he has been stealing. Stealing the hearts of your children today.

God I know they will come running because of the price you paid.

Let us walk and not be shooken, for on you we stand

we can't leave for we are hooken.

Let all the saints cry out Halleluja because our God is real and he does heals.

In Godly love, Lakeshia

Angelle wrote: I am a Christian, and I, as well, love poetry.
Here is a piece that I have written. It tells how we, as Christians, really must go against the grain and shine for Christ.
It also tells that once we are shining, we must join up with other Christians and shine even brighter together.

Shine
it's tough in this world of night
my human nature tells me to blend but I can't
my soul tells me to shine
it's true that one flisked of a flame can shatter darkness
I am that flicker will you ignite
that flicker inside and shine, too?
together we can become a flame
together we can become a fire
together we will no longer shine
We will Blaze

Thankyou to Mike Wilson for sharing the following poem with us.

A LIFE FOR JESUS

I'll live my life for Jesus,
Cause Jesus died for me.

Jesus died for me,
On the mount at Calvary.

His death contained a purpose,
His death was not in vain.

Cause ever since the day He died,
Earth's never been the same.

They've never found His body,
some say it's hid away.

But I'll believe what Jesus said,
On the third day He'd be raised.

There is a choice we all must make,
A choice made with our voice.

If we choose not to decide,
We still have made a choice.

Live your life for Jesus,
Cause Jesus died for you.

And when we start believing it,
Our lives become brand new.

Lenora McWhorter's beautiful poems (from Alabama)
God's Presence

Where ever you are, God is there.
His presence is all around.
There is no time,
space or distance,
where God cannot be found.
God's Spirit dwells in all those
who have become His own.
God is always there where you are.
He makes your heart His home.

Look not for God in far away places,
or say,"He's in heaven on high".
Look for God's presence where yu are.
He promises to be close by.
God dwells among His followers,
His arms are open wide.
His word gives assurance of His presence,
So draw near to His side.

God is Never Far Away

At the beginning of each new day,
I pause to kneel and pray.
My heavenly father hears me,
for he is never far away.

I see His handiwork all around me,
as I enter into the day.
The whole earth reflects His glory
for He is never far away.
The day shows forth His wonders,
the night His power display.
The beauty of nature gently whispers,
that God is not far away.
At eventide when the day is done,
I again kneel down and pray.
I thank God for His constant care,
for He is never far away.

Of What worth

of what worth are the eyes
that have chosen their sight
regardless of what they see

or the ears that have heard
something different being said
not hearing obviously

of what worth are the hands
that offer no help
of no worth to you and me
but oh that mine
were as those that were hung
on the hill of calvary
